What does the Fall hold?

Pitch & Bark was happy to be a part of the 2nd annual AHA festival in Santa Fe.  It was great to share the stage with so many local musicians and play for the community.  Thank you to all of those who worked and worked to make the day happen as it did.

We'd like to give props to Tommy Archuleta for the dedication and passion he brought to Pitch & Bark from the start.  Tommy is moving on from the band; this past Sunday being our last show as the trio we have been as of January 2012.  We did some damage, played some great shows, and recorded some great music.  Now we are continuing work on the current album, which we started with Tommy and will be releasing in the coming months.

As far as October and the coming Fall?  There are questions.  But we do know that Pitch & Bark will be performing at three awesome shows with some really great bands; including October 13th with Grass is Green (Boston), Treemotel, and Gynormica.  A killer line-up.  Stay tuned for more details on shows as they emerge and who knows what else....

Sunday, July 22^nd  8pm $5 – High Mayhem and Agitant Link present an evening of Post-Rock Madness, graced with the sounds of BUILDINGS (Minneapolis), WE DREW LIGHTNING, and PITCH & BARK.

Formed in 2006, BUILDINGS is a post-rock three piece from Minneapolis.  Their music is loud, aggressive, and dynamic. Melt, Cry, Sleep” is the band’s 2nd full-length, and the follow up to 2008’s self-released “Braille Animal” (recently reissued on doubleplusgood).

NEXT : Get Awesome 2012

We had a terrible trip to colorado, as seen here.  everything went great.  and now, we look forward to Get Awesome 2012 - helping to celebrate Warehouse 21's 16th year of existence.  Good.  We have to make a plug for Gynormica, definitely check them out at the show. (Pitch&Bark goes on at 4:45pm / These Charming Cobras at 2:30pm - that is ALL we know.)

In the near future, Pitch % Bark will be releasing a new EP (to be titled) the first release with the full line-up of Luke Carr (guitar/vox), Peter Duggan (bass/tinkerer), and Tommy Archuleta on the Injury Kit.  This newest release will be a part of Pitch&Bark, Volume 1.  Stay tuned.
