postROCK+MADness with BUILDINGS!...
Sunday, July 22nd 8pm $5 – High Mayhem and Agitant Link present an evening of Post-Rock Madness, graced with the sounds of BUILDINGS (Minneapolis), WE DREW LIGHTNING, and PITCH & BARK.
Formed in 2006, BUILDINGS is a post-rock three piece from Minneapolis. Their music is loud, aggressive, and dynamic. Melt, Cry, Sleep” is the band’s 2nd full-length, and the follow up to 2008’s self-released “Braille Animal” (recently reissued on doubleplusgood).
We Drew Lightning is propelled by Michael Smith's bombastic drumming and Roland Ostheim's textured guitar work. Loud, Sensual, Engaging are all words that could describe their sound. We Drew Lightning are a duo of Ruthless Sweethearts that attack with a wall of sound, but bring you back down to earth only to propel you again to another planet.
Pitch & Bark is a three piece art-rock trio based in Santa Fe, New Mexico – the group pushes and pulls along the spectrum of sound that guitar, bass and drums can cover and they aim to take you with them.
